Post-Storm Echoes

Year 2046, human population outside specialized habitat bubbles has died off due to extreme weather conditions and destructive air quality. Human application into habitats has shown a clear line between who is rich and who is not. Luckily for relatively few, some specialists, like engineers and scientists of various fields were required to keep the habitats in operable condition and hopefully improve it.

Surface of the Earth is completely and mercilessly flattened by rather frequent dust thunderstorms of windspeed never seen before, combined with broken off particles of our structures, which tear through nearly anything they come in contact with.

Habitats were built specifically on various resource points, like oil wells, metal quarries, fertile soils. Resources are scattered around the world, meaning habitats are dependant on each other. Hence your job is to manage your small team of "Couriers", whose job is to take The Rig, a huge rover, loaded with goods needed for other habitats. The harsh outside conditions are unforgiving towards humans and machinery alike. To keep the machine running, team requires very skilled people. Some make these trips for money, some are being pulled by the beauty of our planet's wrath.

[Workshop theme]

Each habitat has a workshop, or one would call it a hangar. This is the place where after a trip The Rig's abrated armor plates are replaced, coolant is refilled, fuel is topped up. Since each habitat has different specialties, different workshops may offer different parts or materials, having their own gimmicks.

[Day theme]

Days on earth are never gonna be viewed the same as before. Day means extreme scorching heats to the extent that the vehicle hequires constant active cooling and additional passive cooling methods for it to stay operational, cooling liquid pumps, reflective and ablative surface finishes, all of these rack up the cost of operation considerably.

[Sunset theme]

After a blazing hot wasteland day, temperature outside is slowly starting to drop, windows begin getting covered in water condensate ice. The crew is tired, one would associate the beautiful moment a triumph, but it's just a short break before a terrifyingly cold night bestows The Rig...
